Spring is Here

Since opening last December, Chef Sarig has prepared an incredible selection
of hearty, savory dishes that we have all been enjoying through what seemed
to us like an unusually cold Winter season in North Carolina. But now Spring
has come to Zely & Ritz with full force and the new menu items of fresh Spring
herbs, greens, and vegetables are being added every day. New items include
fresh goat cheese in a (salad and in a dessert), baby arugala, spring onions,
and the most amazing fresh trout that Chef Sarig is cooking whole with fennel
and oranges. Each day new produce is becoming available and fresh, new
items are being added to the menu.

May Wine Dinner

Since we all love wine, one of our favorite nights each month is our wine
dinner. This month’s wine dinner will be at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 11th
and will feature wines from Gary Farrell Vineyards from Sonoma County.
Gary Farrell has been making highly extracted pinot noirs in the Russian
River valley of Sonoma County with his buddies at Rochioli since the early
1980’s. He has expanded his line to include other varietals but is best know
for his deep, rich and intense Pinots. Our good friend Woody Joyner who has
worked in the local wine industry for a very long time will be here to talk about
Gary Farrell and his wines. Woody is a very knowledgeable guy and a real
pleasure to taste with. The cost will be $75 per person plus tax and gratuities.

At Zely & Ritz our emphasis is on producing great meals with great wines
using the freshest, organically raised, locally grown items that we can.
Compared to most restaurants, our ingredients are much more expensive
and more time consuming to prepare so we try to cut costs in other areas
like marketing. You’ve probably never seen a Zely & Ritz ad, because for
the most part we don’t do any. We rely on the great word of mouth endorse-
ments we get from our loyal customers like you. Now that the website is up,
we can be found on most major search engines and restaurant finder sites
like google, citysearch, aol, downtownraleigh.com and others. Many people
are starting to find out about us by searching these sites. One of the ways
you can help is to add a review or a user rating about your own experiences
