At Zely & Ritz we believe the best food comes from local farmers that we know grow quality organic produce and hormone and antibiotic free meats. We buy locally and organically whenever possible. Co-owners, Chef Sarig and Richard grew up farming and cooking -- Richard on a farm in Eastern North Carolina and Sarig on a Kibbutz along the Mediterranean Sea in Israel.
As an adult, Sarig became a master chef specializing in preparing fresh ingredients and pairing them with the help of his wife, Nancy, with the perfect wines to make tasty and healthy meals. Richard grew up to become an entrepreneur and avid organic gardener. Two years ago, he started Coon Rock Farm which supplies vegetables, meat, eggs, and honey for Zely & Ritz. To complete the cycle, all food waste from Zely & Ritz is sent back to Coon Rock Farm for composting to feed the next season of crops.
Coon Rock Farm specializes in pasture raised, antibiotic and hormone free lamb, pork, chicken, and goat. We also have the best pasture raised (free range over 55 acres) eggs you've ever tasted and delicious locally produced honey from own hives. We have about 2 acres of vegetables under cultivation and supply various in season items for the Coon Rock Specials that your wait person will tell you about.
